Let’s Eat This Town!
Hello All —
The next six weeks are going to be so exciting I almost can’t contain myself. I actually doing a little jig as I write this. It’s time for Eat Drink SF, the Street Food Festival, Outside Lands, three amazing restaurant openings (and that’s just the three we are working on), big birthday celebrations, a wedding and one other little big deal event – my episode of the Million Dollar Listing SF –the hit reality show on Bravo!
I am telling you I haven’t been this excited about a month since June of 1980 when I had my senior prom, I graduated from High School, my friends and I got the coolest beach house on the Jersey Shore and I went all the way. (I know what you are thinking – I think my girlfriend Terri was thinking the same thing that night.)
There are also a few major milestones for some very wonderful friends in my life this month. The legendary Joyce Goldstein (my friend, mentor and Jewish mom) turns 80. I am so blessed to know this amazing woman and chef. Another very special friend Umberto Gibin has a big birthday (he’s going to kill me for telling you) and we wish this classy guy a wonderful celebration too.
The lovely Sasha Bernstein is tying the knot to her gorgeous fiancé Nate this weekend. I am so lucky to attend as I love, love this lady so much. Warning – I cry profusely at weddings and fantasize regularly about my big fat Jewish wedding. (Am I getting to old for that?). Sasha was an extremely devoted employee here at AF&Co. and to watch what she has done with her life and now this – well, it’s about all I can handle. Congratulations Sasha and Nate.
Okay – read on and get your spanx ready. We are going to eat this town. See you on Bravo –August 5th at 10pm. I haven’t seen the episode so hopefully you will all be talking to me the next morning – keep in mind it’s reality TV.
