New Guest Insights Translated to Sales
Woodside Hotels is a family-owned company that manages six hotels along the California coast. Woodside sought a strategic partner to keep the properties relevant and engaging. At Monterey Plaza, a fine dining restaurant, The Duck Club, was experiencing dwindling sales due to changes in diner demands. AF&Co. was brought on to evaluate the F&B offerings of the property and bring in new energy with an intense marketing and communications program. We recommended that the property restructure its offerings, eliminating The Duck Club and then worked with the team to build out Schooner’s Coastal Kitchen to better utilize property views and maximize the revenue opportunity with locals. We put comprehensive public relations and marketing program in place. The results: a doubling of sales in just one year, with Schooner’s becoming a favorite stop for locals as well as guests. Another re-concept in Lafayette that transitioned The Duck Club into The Park also experienced double-digit increases. Since 2011, AF&Co. has renamed multiple restaurant and hotel concepts with Woodside Hotels and we’re thrilled to continue this ongoing relationship.
