Dine out for a cause this week for ChefsGiving to support those affected by the devastating North Bay fires. Our hospitality community comes together to offer a variety of special menus and dishes to benefit the cause. Here’s what the af&co. family is offering this week:


West Coast fish house, Pacific Catch, will be donating 10% of all sales from their seasonal “East Coast Classics, West Coast Style” menu during ChefsGiving week,  November 13th-19th. Choose from fall-inspired dishes including Thai-inspired Red Curry Lobster Bisque ($10), West Coast Lobster Roll ($22) on a butter-toasted King’s Hawaiian roll, and a seasonal Lobster, Shrimp and Avocado Poke ($13) with lemongrass-coconut marinade, Valencia oranges and Fresno chiles. Executive Chef/Partner Benjamin Balesteri of Sausalito’s beloved Northern Italian trattoria, Poggio, will be participating in ChefsGiving Week, by donating $10 from each truffle dish, November 13th-19th. Enjoy Alba’s tartufo bianco (white truffle) shaved tableside atop Chef Benjamin Balesteri’s house-made Piemontese classics such as Carne CrudaRaviolo con Uovoand Tajarin della Casa. Buffalo Theory, Polk Street’s favorite craft beer bar, will be donating $1 from each sale of two very special brews for the entire month of November to the fundraising efforts of ChefsGiving. Choose from Sonoma Pride by Bear Republic, who was invited to brew by Russian River Brewing for their north bay fire fundraising efforts. Sonoma Pride will be offered during ChefsGiving week as well as while supplies last and Chocolate Hazelnut Porter from Fairfield’s Heretic Brewing Company is available all month long. Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar’s El Paseo in Mill Valley will be donating 10% of all sales on November 14th to ChefsGiving. Enjoy Chef Todd Shoberg’s ingredient driven menu with selections like Pumpkin Bolognese, Buttermilk Fried Sardines, Coffee & Bourbon Aged Beef Rib, or Half Moon Bay King Salmon. El Paseo is located 17 Throckmorton Ave., Mill Valley, CA 94941 or call (415) 388-0741.  


Bluestem Brasserie, located on Yerba Buena Lane in downtown San Francisco, will offer a special $55 family-style menu during ChefsGiving week. The special, three-course menu will be available during dinner only (5pm-11pm) from November 13th-19th. Owners Adam and Stacy Jed have committed to donating $2,500 of proceeds from the special menu to the week-long benefit. Bluestem is located at 1 Yerba Buena Lane between 3rd and 4th streets in San Francisco and surrounded by the city’s cultural attractions, high-end retail, and luxury residences and hotels. Modern Asian restaurant, E&O Kitchen and Bar will donate 15% of total sales on Wednesday, November 15 to fire relief. Snack on E&O’s infamous dumplings to larger dishes such as Grilled Steelhead with hot and sour broth and coconut relish or the Fritter Burger with corn fritter buns, white cheddar, bacon sriracha aioli, kimchi, togarashi fries, and pickled vegetables. For more information or reservations visit  www.eandokitchen.com or call (415) 693-0303. 


Local neighborhood staple, Park Cafe Group will donate a percentage of sales from their new Vegan Wrap with fried chickpea tofu, arugula, carrots, radishes, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds avocado, and orange vinaigrette at Paradise Park Cafe and Dolores Park Cafe and the Chilaquiles Pizza with jalapeño, bacon, cotija cheese, mozzarella, miso buttermilk, & cilantro at Precita Park Cafe and Duboce Park Cafe.


At SoMa’s progressive Indian restaurant, ROOH, the team will be donating 20% of the net proceeds from a special menu where guests can choose three or four courses with dishes that focus on traditional Indian flavors combined with fresh local ingredients and prepared with modern techniques. Both menus include three small bites to start, as well as an accompaniment of the diner’s choosing. Perbacco & barbacco will participate in ChefsGiving with special menu items at each location. At Perbacco, Chef/Owner Staffan Terje will offer an a la carte menu with Napa-inspired dishes and barbacco will offer three special items with all proceeds from both menus going toward the cause.

Located in the Westfield San Francisco Centre on the fourth floor under the dome, M.Y. For ChefsGiving Week, they will donate $2 from every specialty cocktail and glass of wine sold, along with $10 from every bottle of wine purchased.

Copita Tequileria y Comida, the popular contemporary Mexican restaurant located in the heart of downtown Sausalito, will be donating $1 per taco sold for ChefsGiving Week. Choose from Consulting Executive Chef Daniel Tellez’s seasonal tacos such as the Carne Asada, Chicken Tinga, Vegetarian Tacos, Fried Pork Belly or the Baja Style Cod tacos. One Market will be donating 100 percent of the sales from their Chef’s Table dinner for the week to the relief efforts. Enjoy a custom, 10-course tasting meal in the heart of the One Market kitchen, prepared and served by Executive Chef/Partner Mark Dommen, with Napa and Sonoma Valley wines specially selected from our award-winning list by Sommelier/Wine Director Tonya Pitts (with some additional surprises!). Canela Bistro & Wine Bar, the Upper Market/Castro restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious traditional Spanish dishes, will be offering a special four course meal for $79 with wine pairings. A sampling of dishes include Seared Wild Grouper Filet with Chickpeas, Greens, Sunchoke, Shallot & Aioli and Tempranillo Braised Beef Cheeks, Lolipop kale, Patato Puree & Almond Crumbs. $30 per person from each special meal will be donated to ChefsGiving.
