Recap: James Beard Taste America LA

James Beard Taste America tour celebrated its second stop in the ten city culinary tour last weekend in Downtown Los Angeles at the Vibiana. The evening of culinary stars sizzled with a four-course dinner from James Beard Award Winner Barbara Lynch of Barbara Lynch Gruppo, Michael Cimarusti of Providence and Connie and Ted’s, and Pastry Chef Shannon Swindle of Craft Los Angeles.


The reception heated up the night with Howlin’ Ray’s hot chicken, delectable bites from local chefs such as hand crafted Tortellini en Brodo from Felix’s Chef Evan Funke, Dried Scallops with Creamed Endive and Caviar from Justin Hilbert of Maude, Spiced Tomato Broth with Watermelon from Kismet’s Sara Kramer, and Uni Shiokara paired with sake from David Schlosser of Shibumi.


The food fun continues later this month in San Francisco at Fairmont San Francisco on Friday, October 27th with Taste America All-Star James Beard Award Winner Hugh Acheson of Five & Ten and James Beard Award Winner’s Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski of State Bird Provisions and The Progress. The night is sure to tantalize taste buds so make sure to buy your tickets before the event sells out!
