Retreat Recap: af&co takes on San Francisco!
Our summer retreat reminded us why shared experiences matter.
Over two days, the af&co. team came together to cook side by side at Saluhall, taste decadent creations from Shekoh Confections, gather around tables at Carlotta’s Cocktail & Wine Bar and Early to Rise, and sleep like rockstars at The Phoenix Hotel. Between the meals, toasts, and conversations, we strengthened the connections that fuel our work every day. As a fully remote team, even though we spend all day in virtual meetings and Slack together, getting the chance to spend time in person as a collective allows us to break bread and connect face to face.
In the hospitality industry, we believe that human connection is a fundamental part of who we are. Whether gathering with friends for dinner at a new restaurant, meeting fellow travelers at a hotel lobby bar, or raising a glass at a winery, the spaces we work in are all about bringing people together. As an agency, we know it’s important to do the same at our retreats, celebrating the work that we do while building upon our team dynamic.
We’re grateful for our people, our clients, and the opportunity to continue shaping hospitality with passion and purpose. A big thanks to the teams at Saluhall, The Phoenix, Carlotta’s, Early to Rise, and Shekoh Confections for having us, to Gott’s Roadside for providing our lunch, and to Kristen Loken for the incredible photos she captured of us throughout the retreat.
