Poggio Trattoria Celebrates Pizza Month
First observed in the United States during 1984 Poggio, will be honoring their roots by celebrating National Pizza month in October with weekly pizza specials highlighting the freshest local ingredients. The first week of October, Chef Ben will feature the sweet and salty favorite topping combination of Fig, Pancetta and Buffalo Mozzarella. The second week the Italian trattoria will fire up the wood oven for a Sopressata Picante, Olive and Crescenza cheese pizza. The third week will be all about the basics with the mouthwatering Quattro Formaggi pizza layered with dolce gorgonzola, Crescenza, Buffalo Mozzarella and scamorza cheeses. From October 22nd until the end of the month the featured pie will be topped with Charred Radicchio, Gorgonzola and Speck. Come by to enjoy one of these specials from Chef Ben or order your favorite and enjoy the al fresco tables and mild Sausalito weather while overlooking the harbor.
