Ready to enter The Void? The VOID, a cutting-edge virtual reality entertainment company, announced the formation of a partnership with Westfield lifestyle centers to bring more than 25 permanent, state-of-the-art immersive virtual reality destinations to the United States and in Europe. Their San Francisco location is stationed right outside Bespoke. Get ready to escape to another world with this amazing pop-up now through the end of September.

 

 

Bluestem Brasserie

 

Keep an eye out as tickets will soon go on sale for Bluestem Brasserie’s 2nd Annual Bake Sale. On Thursday, September 12th, a gathering of the Bay Area’s top pastry chefs will band together in support of CUESA’s Foodwise Kids – a free program for elementary school classes that uses the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market as a classroom for empowering the next generation of healthy eaters. Duende

 

Oakland’s favorite Spanish restaurant is gearing up for a special that’s going to transform your Sunday nights. Starting August 4th and running through August (Sundays only), Duende will be holding their new Sangria Sundays. From 5:30pm to close, you can wind down your weekend with a sangria flight accompanied by special bites including, Sangria Cured Salmon on Montadito, Chorizo & Papas Fritas, and Sangria Granita & Vanilla Semifreddo. Check out what’s included in the flight below.

Duende Classic Sangria with red wine, spiced rum, sherry, orange liqueur and citrus
Red Sangria with Spanish brandy figs, honey and stone fruit

E&O Kitchen and Bar
In celebration of National Rum day on August 16th and the Year of the Pig, E&O will be collaborating with Tanduay Rum to feature an innovative three-part menu. The menu will run from August 16th-August 31st. The menu will include Pork Sisig, Brown Butter Rum “B’inka,” and an Adult Halo Halo cocktail. E&O will also be hosting a rum activation on August 16th from 5-8pm where a representative from the Tanduay team will offer tastings, answer questions and educate those who make their way to the bar.

Sally the Robot

Currently, there are more than 50 Sally robots serving up salads, grain bowls, Acai bowls, and more across the country in offices, cafes, hospitals, airports, and college campuses. To celebrate this milestone, the East Bay-based Chowbotics is excited to share this innovative technology with San Franciscans at the following pop-ups:

Bespoke San Francisco845 Market Street – This pop-up is available to members of Bespoke only on Wednesday, August 7.

Flywheel Market Street  – 71 Spear Street – This pop-up will debut Sally’s latest offering, Acai bowls, and is available to those taking classes at the studio all day on Wednesday, October 2.

Surprise Location – Our November pop-up will be revealed by following @Chowbotics on Instagram and looking out for clues in the weeks ahead.

Commons Club at Virgin Hotels San Francisco recently launched an all-new lunch menu. Executive Chef Adrian Garcia has put a fun and delicious spin on weekday staples to energize the midday meal; this new menu caters to hotel guests and locals alike. Covering all bases are two new standout offerings: The Quickie and An Afternoon Affair. The Quickie ($25) includes soup, salad, or tostada and a choice of a Farro Grain Bowl or Flank Steak. For an additional $15 turn The Quickie into An Afternoon Affair with the addition of a cocktail, cleverly named The Nooner, Soup of The Day and The Iced Tea, then finish with a sweet ending hand selected by Pastry Chef Michael Tabatabai. The lunch menu is available Monday-Friday 11:30am-2pm.
