Ode to La Mamma


Looking for some baking inspiration? Mr. Espresso’s Marie Di Ruocco shares her beloved grandmother’s Chocolate Baked Cream recipe with us.

For 6 to 8 persons


1 quart of milk

5 or 6 eggs

½ cup of sugar

12 oz of dark chocolate


Melt the chocolate in a saucepan adding the milk slowly until almost boiling. Stir the sugar with the eggs. Add the milk slowly.


Pour in individual ramekins.


Bake approximately 30-35 minutes in low heat over (280). It should not boil. Serve cold.
