When Chef Joanne Weir decided to open her first ever restaurant, Larry Mindel, best known as the owner of the well-regarded Poggio, was the perfect partner. Together they conceived of Copita, and af&co.. is thrilled to have been part of the journey from the first brainstorms to the present. How do you take a small street-side restaurant outside of the city and bring it to destination status? It requires creating a sense of vibrancy that appeals to neighborhood regulars and that generates regional and national attention.
