What do you get when you bring together an acclaimed TV chef and a highly regarded restaurateur?  A match made in Sausalito!  When Chef Joanne Weir decided to open her first ever restaurant, Larry Mindel, best known as the owner of the well-regarded Poggio, was the perfect partner.  Together they conceived of Copita, and AF&Co. is thrilled to have been part of the journey from the first brainstorms to the present. How do you take a small street-side restaurant outside of the city and bring it to destination status? It requires creating a sense of vibrancy that appeals to neighborhood regulars and that generates regional and national attention. The team’s strong modern Mexican food concept and a passion for tequila have inspired unique Day of the Dead festivities and the restaurant’s popular Agave Girls Dinner Series, a tequila paired menu. The results: everyone from Food & Wine to Zagat to San Francisco magazine is talking about this seductive little Sausalito gem.
