BASQUE CULINARY WORLD PRIZE (San Francisco, CA)
The Basque Culinary World Prize was created to highlight the diversity and scope of how gastronomy has come to be a powerful force for change. This international award is given to someone who has helped improve society in some way through gastronomy. In its second year, the award council wanted to bring greater attention to the prize and attract top nominees. They brought on af&co. to plan a media event at Atelier Crenn to kick off the nomination period in which culinary professionals can nominate candidates. The winner of the Basque Culinary World Prize is given 100,000 euros toward a project, promoting the transformative power of the kitchen.
