New Year, New Clients, New Team Members!

So much has happened in the first month of 2020! We’re taking this as a great omen for the year. Between new clients and new af&co. team members, we are excited to share the following with you all!

Welcome to the af&co. family Tratto! 

A modern Trattoria with a rustic soul – Tratto is a spirited, bar-driven restaurant serving rustic Italian fare with modern sensibilities in the heart of San Francisco’s Theater District and next door to The Marker Hotel. Chef Ola Fendert leads their kitchen with a culinary prowess achieved by way of executive posts at some of San Francisco’s most reputable establishments, including the opening teams at Chez Papa and Chez Maman, and Scala’s Bistro. Ola’s approach to the artful blending of cuisines perfectly suits Tratto’s melding of Italian and rustic-Californian fare. Beverage Director, Cynthia Tran brings a high level of energy and creativity to Tratto’s robust bar program. Guests are invited to enjoy traditional Italian cocktails “with a twist,” as well as bottled cocktails, Italian cream sodas, and a housemade limoncello program. Tratto’s flavorful menu of simple, delicious and shareable dishes coupled with casual, communal-style dining creates a neighborhood bar experience inspired by the Italian tradition of “aperitivo,” or happy hour.

There’s a new AC Hotel coming to Santa Rosa.

We’re excited to be partnering with a new AC Hotels property in Santa Rosa, AC Santa Rosa West. Slated to open this spring, our gears are already turning on making this property in the heart of wine country extra special!

Fresh from Aotearoa New Zealand, Alice is a brand new addition to the San Francisco scene. She moved to the USA after graduating from the University of Canterbury with her Bachelor of Commerce in mid 2019, with a double major in Marketing and Management.

She may be new to America, but she is definitely not new to the industry. A seasoned events professional, Alice has spent the last six years planning and managing luxury private and corporate events throughout the South Island of New Zealand. A highlight was being involved in the International Buskers Festival, Bread and Circus, and putting on an eye-opening gastronomic and theatrical escapade, Feast of Fools.

Despite being trained in the business world, Alice’s passions lie in everything food, drink and events, and coming to America her goal was to find a way to marry the two. Planning various events for family members since the age of six (we’re talking extravagant pet funerals, and pop up “restaurants” on the porch), it’s no surprise that Alice is pursuing this passion on a professional level.
