We Spiced Things Up This Valentine’s Day With Burlap & Barrel

We kicked off the week’s festivities with a beautiful dessert tasting at Bluestem Brasserie. It was an afternoon full of to-die-for desserts, bubbles and great company. The perfect start to such a wonderful week!

Those of us in the office on Friday the 14th got treated to a surprise afternoon spice tasting with Ori from Burlap & Barrel. With a glass of rose in hand, we sipped, smelled and sampled our way through their range of unique and beautiful spices. We love that they partner directly with smallholder farmers to source products of a quality not easily found in the US. When we left work with bags of cinnamon and star anise to try at home, it was made just that much sweeter knowing that this product also improves the livelihoods of the farmer partners!
