You’ve celebrated Christmas Eve, but how about Thanksgiving Eve? Newly opened AFICI is offering a special five-course tasting menu for one night only, Wednesday November 23. Perfect for an elevated Friendsgiving, or a solution for individuals with multiple holiday commitments, AFICI affirms that good food, great company and memorable experiences are what make the holidays special. Chef Eric Upper and team presents a delicious feast with all of the season’s favorite flavors including a Pear & Walnut Tart with squab prosciutto and walnut to Turkey Roulade with cranberry, Wagyu confit and turkey jus. Bluestem Restaurant & Market

One Yerba Buena Lane, San Francisco, CA

Bluestem Restaurant & Market will be open Thanksgiving Day from 2pm-8pm offering a traditional turkey dinner with all the sides and fixings crafted from local and sustainably sourced ingredients, alongside wine, beer and craft cocktails inspired by the Bay Area. $85 per person. Reservations.

SF Proper Hotel | Villon

1100 Market Street Hotel Entrance is, 45 McAllister St at, San Francisco, CA 94102

Join us for a ‘Proper’ Thanksgiving dinner at Villon, located in the San Francisco Proper Hotel. Executive Chef Jason Fox has curated a four-course prix fixe menu, showcasing the seasonality of California ingredients while maintaining the traditional spirit of Thanksgiving ($135 per person, $55 for children under 12). A festive beverage selection will be available, as guests can choose from vintage bourbons or reserve wine pairing ($60) to celebrate the holiday. Reservations.

International Smoke

The team behind Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry’s International Smoke celebrate Thanksgiving with a buffet of traditional and seasonal dishes. Enjoy Red Curry Butternut Squash soup, Roasted Cauliflower with tahini, pomegranate and pistachio, entrees including Smoked Turkey Breast, Smoked Salmon and Wagyu Prime Rib, Cornbread stuffing with sweet sausage and sage and Brussels sprouts with maple syrup and huckleberries. One Market Restaurant

Chef Mark Dommen of One Market has created a three-course Thanksgiving menu where diners may choose one fish from each category: first course, main course, and dessert. For those looking to order take-out rather than dine-in, One Market also offers Thanksgiving pick-up on Wednesday, November 23 from 11am-5pm. The paired down menu will cost $79 per person. Sit down pricing: $89 dollars per adult , $49 dollars per child 10 and under. Excludes beverages, taxes & 20% gratuity. Date/Timing: 1-8pm on November 24. Menu | Reservations | Take out orders.

KAIYO Cow Hollow

1838 Union St, San Francisco, CA 94123

KAIYO Cow Hollow is celebrating Thanksgiving Nikkei-Style with a pre-order, pre-fixe menu available for pick up throughout the week, including Thanksgiving day. The take home meal-kit features a Shoyu & Honey Turkey, Shogayaki “Ginger & Miso” Pork Loin, KAIYO’s Turkey Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes & Shogayaki Graving and Golden Roasted Cauliflower (will be available via KAIYO’s Tock soon). 

KAIYO Cow Hollow will also be hosting a Thanksgiving-Eve pre-fixe dinner featuring a similar menu to the take home meal-kit, in addition to holiday specials including Sudado Pescado and festive cocktails. This flagship location, in addition to KAIYO Rooftop, will be closed on Thanksgiving day. 

Canela

2272 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94114

For those looking to spend less time on dishes and more time with family, head on over to Canela located in the Castro to pick up your Thanksgiving to-go order (Standard: $149, Deluxe $199). Traditional favorites include roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce and gravy, cornbread stuffing with toasted challah, flash-fried brussel sprouts accompanied by manchego cheese, whipped sweet potatoes and dinner rolls served with jamon serrano compound butter. Add your choice of homemade dessert from Chona Piumarta of Pastry Cupboard; Bourbon Pecan Bars or Blueberry Buttermilk Pie and a bottle of wine for $60.

Pre-orders must take place by November 17th at 9pm and pick up or local delivery is available on Wednesday, November 24th between 3-5pm PT. An added bonus, the meal will come with a reusable tote or oven mitt for ease in holiday serving. Place orders here.

East Bay 

alley & vine

1332 Park St Unit D, Alameda, CA 94501

Stemming from farm-to-table California restaurant, alley & vine, the Alameda restaurant will offer its first dine-in Thanksgiving feast since its opening. The three-course menu includes a vegetarian option for selection.

For adults, the menu will run at $79 per person and for children, the meal will cost $35 for those who are 12 or younger. Gratuity is not included. Menu | Reservations.

Pomella

3770 Piedmont Ave Unit B, Oakland, CA

Pomella chef/owner Mica Talmor is offering a la carte Thanksgiving entrees, sides and desserts with her distinctive Israeli-Mediterranean influence. Returning favorites include Turkey breast, mushroom “Bastilla,” Moroccan-style Phyllo pie, Yukon gold and celeriac mashed potatoes, Shaved Brussels sprouts with butternut squash and brandied cherries, House-made biscuits, Sweet potato cheesecake with candied ginger, Pecan-caramel bars, and more. Apple pie from Oakland-based baker Edith’s Pie will also be available whole and by the slice. Heat and serve at home. Wine and beer are also available. 

Order by Nov. 17 for pick up on Nov. 22 or 23 (closed Thanksgiving day). Pre-orders are encouraged, but there will be limited items available for same-day pick up. The menu will be live soon at pomellaoakland.com.

South Bay

Wild Onion Bistro

750 San Antonio Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303

Wild Onion Bistro and Bar at Hotel Citrine is celebrating all of the traditions of Thanksgiving, offering a three-course menu featuring turkey, duck, prime rib and more, all complemented by seasonal sides. Begin the meal with a complimentary glass of Prosecco followed by butternut squash soup or salad and main dishes complete with all the sides including Roast Turkey with candied jewel carrots, maple glazed sweet potatoes, sage and sausage stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, Seared Duck Breast with blackberry red wine compote, sweet potato puree, pancetta glazed Brussels sprouts, and Garlic & Herb Crusted Prime Rib with rosemary au jus, garlic mashed potatoes, popover wild mushroom ragout. Desserts include Pumpkin Cheesecake or Pear & Cranberry Tart. 

Pricing is $75 plus tax per person, excluding gratuity; beverage pairing is additional $60 per person. A three-course menu for kids is also available ($35). Wild Onion’s Thanksgiving menu is available starting at noon with the last seating at 7pm, bar closes at 9pm. Full menu here.

Adrestia

400 West Java Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089

Chef Hideki Myo celebrates Thanksgiving with a seasonal menu that highlights ingredients indigenous to the region. Served family-style, the menu is inspired by Chef’s interest in showcasing the valley, pre-tech – before it was dubbed Silicon Valley. In addition to its emphasis on local ingredients, Chef Myo adds some of his favorite Japanese influences throughout the menu. Highlights for the table include Steamed clams with miso-mirin broth, Gochujang deviled duck egg, Venison rib rack with morel-whiskey barrel soy glaze, Rotisserie Quail with Matsutake pan jus, local honey roasted acorn squash and Acorn chocolate cake with Hokkaido cream and huckleberry current compote. Chef is offering a vegan entree as well –  Acorn Squash, quinoa, kale, cranberry, sprouted seeds and maple-soy drizzle. The family-style menu is available from Tuesday, November 22 – Sunday, November 27. Adults are $95 per person and children are $47.50 per person. Pricing excludes tax and gratuity. Reservations requested. Reservations.
